The purpose of FIRE is to ignite the faith in every member of our parish family so that, as one Body, we may be set ablaze with a deeper love for God and for one another.
For such a movement to take place, each of us must be committed to this mission of spiritual growth, beginning with the humility to recognize our own need for it.
As we intentionally tend the fire within us—stoking a living, vibrant love for the Lord—we will not simply grow in holiness; we will begin to transform our families and our parish. And in doing so, we will set the world on fire. As Christ says, “O how I wish it were already blazing.”
FIRE Nights are the heart of our parish’s formation process, bringing together the entire parish family for an ongoing experience of faith, community, and growth. These nights take place once a month and typically last about two hours. Each FIRE Night is intentionally designed to engage every person, no matter their age or stage of life:
INTRO The night begins with a fun and engaging introduction to the theme, setting the tone and drawing everyone into the heart of the topic.
BREAKOUT SESSION Participants then break into groups based on age or state of life. Each group explores the same theme, but in a way that is meaningful, accessible, and applicable to their particular stage of life.
FAMILY MEAL The night concludes with a shared meal, where families and individuals come back together for intentional conversation — reflecting on what they learned and how to live it out.
FIRE is more than just a single night of formation or catechesis—it is a holistic parish process by which we grow together in faith throughout the year. The rhythm of the FIRE program unfolds in a simple and intentional way:
IGNIGHT IGNIGHT is the first FIRE Night of the year, typically held in September. It serves as a “kickoff” for the year of formation—a high-energy night that casts the vision, introduces the theme, and invites everyone into what the Lord desires to do in our parish.
FIRE NIGHTS (Monthly) FIRE Nights continue each month, with every night centered on a particular topic that fits within the annual theme. These gatherings form the foundation of our parish’s ongoing formation, offering consistent opportunities for growth, encounter, and community.
BLAZE NIGHTS (Sacramental Preparation) Blaze is the name for our sacramental preparation process. These sessions take place on additional nights throughout the year for those preparing for a sacrament, providing a deeper and more focused formation alongside the regular FIRE Nights.
FAM INTO FLAME The year concludes with our final FIRE Night, Fam Into Flame, typically celebrated around Pentecost. This is a joyful and celebratory gathering, giving thanks for all that God has done and sending us forth to live what we have received.
When it comes to growing in the faith, there is no age limit—FIRE is for everyone. Each of us has a role to play in the life of our parish family, and this formation is made possible by both the grace of God and the generosity of His people.
Whether through your time, your gifts, or your support, you can help make FIRE Nights a place where hearts are truly set ablaze.
