Funerals are such an important part of our parish ministry, and we tend to have so many of them. We have so many wonderful sacristans that help the family once they arrive for the funeral liturgy itself. However, we are very much in need of someone who can lead the communication with our grieving families, help gather paperwork, and also assist families in preparing for the funeral of their loved ones. May God be calling you to lead in this capacity?
Couples events are an opportunity for couples to grow in their relationship with Christ together. A speaker and/or prayer experience will lead the hour-long event. Ideally, local businesses would be contacted to provide discounted meals to any St. Luke couple that evening; this would further deepen our relationship with local restaurants. There should be two couples events each year.
The leader of these events should be able to coordinate, collaborate, and communicate the details of the various couple events. May God be calling you to lead in this capacity?
A new type of event we'd like to see for our parish family is for good ole family fun! Family Fun events are an opportunity for families to relax and get to know each other through days of fun, games, and activities. Ideally these will occur twice each year:
(1) Fam into Flame on Pentecost Sunday, and
(2) in December during Advent
The leader of these events should be able to coordinate, collaborate, and communicate the details of the various family fun events. May God be calling you to lead in this capacity?
A new type of event we'd like to see for our parish family is faith formation events! Formation events are an opportunity for parishioners to grow their faith in a more specific way than FIRE nights. They should happen twice each year. If possible, they should be led by a speaker or panel of speakers.
The leader of these events should be able to coordinate, collaborate, and communicate the details of the various faith formation events. May God be calling you to lead in this capacity?
A new type of event we'd like to see for our parish family is service events! Service events are an opportunity for parishioners and parishioner-families to grow in community through a service project. These service events could be on-campus, at an elderly or ill parishioner’s home, in the local neighborhood, or anywhere. Ideally these will occur twice each year.
The leader of these events should be able to coordinate, collaborate, and communicate the details of the various service projects. May God be calling you to lead in this capacity?
Currently our parish has no annual gala or fundraising event! This annual event is an opportunity for parishioners and couples to grow in community and celebrate our parish family together, while raising money for our parish's mission.
The leader of these events should be able to coordinate, collaborate, and communicate the details of the gala. May God be calling you to lead in this capacity?

Vocations support should be a ministry that provides prayerful but practical assistance for young people to discern their vocation in life. Ideally this should happen in two ways:
This leader coordinates and organizes the Vocation Formation program. May God be calling you to lead in this capacity?
“Flame-Throwers” are responsible for sending mail-outs and other invitations to those in the community, particularly when new residents move into our parish boundary. May God be calling you to lead in this capacity?
“Torch-Bearers” are responsible for connecting our parish to businesses, organizations, etc. in the area. May God be calling you to lead in this capacity?
