When someone can use a friend:
CANCER SUPPORT GROUP Support for those facing cancer and their caregivers A diagnosis of cancer can leave an individual or a family worried about the future, but our support group is a safe place to face the treatment, fears, and recovery with hope and friendship. The group does not offer treatment advice or medical recommendations, but with more than two decades of love and experience, they can make the challenges a little less lonely. Kind and supportive friends will help you find a way forward through your new normal since they've been through it, too.
Who can participate: Any person diagnosed with cancer of any kind and their caregivers.
Who can help: Any cancer survivor/any experienced cancer caregiver willing to spend the time and assist with annual events.
When: The group meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm.

GRIEF MINISTRY Support for those facing the loss of someone they love Over several years of accompanying parishioners through the loss of a loved one, we've learned that grief doesn't happen in orderly, easy to process stages. It's more like the Lord's Passion: the sudden and/or great grief of the loss of a loved one (GOOD FRIDAY), the grief and numbness of acceptance that the person we've lost is not going to come back to us (Holy Saturday), the hope and desire to reenter into real life (Easter Sunday), and what to do with the new path that the Lord has lain before us (Easter Monday). With this in mind, we have put together a vision for Grief Ministry that follows the Lord's healing movements of the heart. Through pastoral counseling, support groups that help identify the source of pain and which provides friendship and accompaniment, and support as you reenter life after your loss, we meet parishioners where they are.
Who can participate: Anyone who has lost a loved one or friend OR anyone who is facing the terminal illness of someone they love. Support group is for adults (18+). For assistance with the grief of a child or teenager, please contact our Pastoral Associate for assistance and resources.
Who can help: Anyone (18+), with our training, who has found hope in the sacramental life of the Church and is willing to assist our Pastoral Team in the care of other participants.
When: Tuesdays at 7:00 pm August - October, Summer events monthly, and Tuesdays at 7:00 pm, one event in December, and Tuesdays at 7:00 pm March - May. Visit our webpage for more information.

GOOD SAMARITAN MINISTRY (GOOD SAMS) Support for those facing emergency financial crises Good Sams provides immediate financial assistance to those experiencing dire circumstances while connecting them to case management agencies that can provide longer-term assistance. Good Sams gives assistance to families in crisis, and helps stabilize a volatile situation to allow time for planning a lasting solution. We have a strong network of case management charities to lean on when debt-counseling, shelters, procurement of government services, or legal issues need to be addressed.
