The purpose of FIRE is to excite the faith in every member of our parish family so that, as one Body, we may be enflamed with a greater love for God and for each other.

For such a powerful movement to occur, every parishioner must be dedicated to this mission of spiritual growth, by first humbly recognizing one's own need for growth.

By bravely dedicating ourselves to stoking the fire within us, by building up this fiery love for God within us, we will not simply become holy; we will not simply transform our families and our parish families; we will set the world on fire. And, as Christ says, "O how I wish it were already blazing."

FIRE Nights are the primary focus of our FIRE program, meant to bring together the entire parish family in an ongoing formation process. These nights occur monthly and are approximately 2 hours long. A typical night is structured as follows:


   INTRO
The night begins with a fun introduction to the theme or topic of the night.
 
 
  BREAKOUT SESSION
All those present break out into different groups based on age and/or state of life. In each breakout group, all are formed regarding the same topic, but at their appropriate age levels.
 
 
   FAMILY MEAL
The night concludes with a family dinner, in which all present participate in intentional conversations to discuss what they learned in their breakout session.

FIRE is more than simply one night of formation or catechesis. It is a wholistic parish program by which we grow and are formed. The general framework of the whole program is as follows:




IGNIGHT is the first FIRE Night, which is a pump-up night to start off the new year of formation, with an overview of all that will take place in this year of parish formation. 


BLAZE is the general name for all of our specific sacramental preparation programs. These are ongoing throughout the year on additional nights to our FIRE nights. Click the buttons below to learn about the preparation process for each of the sacraments.
