BLAZE 6: January 18, 2026 - The BEST Part of the Story
The Holy Eucharist and the Power of Adoration
DON'T FORGET: NO BLAZE NIGHT IN FEBRUARY
This BLAZE night will help your child learn that the Holy Eucharist - the TRUE Presence of our saving Lord - is now his or her invitation to become part of the broader story of salvation! With fun activities and a chance to visit the Sacristy and see all the vestments and all the parts of the Holy Mass, this is a great opportunity for the whole family to get a behind the scenes tour of the Church and the most important sacrament of our Faith! Your child will receive First Eucharist at the Easter Vigil Mass on April 4, 2026, at 8 pm. This is a good time to go make sure this really special day is on the calendar! It's almost here!
Because there is so much too know in this BLAZE session, we're giving you LOTS of great resources below so that when your child asks questions (OR IF YOU HAVE ANY!) you can answer them with confidence - and even feel like you know all the answers of why the Holy Eucharist is the very SOURCE and SUMMIT of our beautiful Catholic faith!
WE CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR SERIES ON THE HOLY MASS AND THE TRUE PRESENCE OF THE LORD IN THE EUCHARIST!
Over the next weeks, as your child heads to First Communion on April 4, watch these with the adults and teenagers in your home. (Kids as young as Grade 4, can get a LOT out of this series.) Just the imagery and the story telling will hold your attention and your child's!
There are 3 main episodes (about 40 min each) that tell the story of the Holy Eucharist. These are followed by 1 episode that teaches the Biblical foundations of the Holy Eucharist. 1 Episode for children, and 1 Episode for Parents preparing their children for their First Holy Communion. The last two we have SPECIFICALLY noted as needed for your BLAZE week: The one for Children above, and the one for Parents below.
